This is such an interesting idea, to have a podcast of sorts guiding you as you walk down somewhere. I really love walking too - one of my favourite activities when I go travelling is just to walk aimelessly around a city, observing regular life and just to people watch.
Same! Naser is planning on making more of these throughout the city and now I’m wishing every city had something similar. Imagine how different travel would be!
i could totally imagine making a podcast walking guide of the wilds of SS15, Subang's town centre, the place to get good food , possibly get
Mmwed down by motorcycles and where the rats and roaches are so friendly they hang out with you on your apartment balcony as you try to bring in the clothes 🤣
Listening to this young woman's audio walk was such a unique experience! Her intellectual curiosity, sensory observations and insights were profound and her exuberance infectious. Thank you!
Thank you again Reema for being a guest and a host of the Lisan sound walk. I really enjoyed reading about your experience and learning a lot with you. Looking forward to next posts and city wanderings. Shokran kteer and hayyaki! :)
Like Rita, I listened without visiting too. Interesting thoughts and images conjured up through a soundscape, a different experience from actually being there. Thank you. Xx
I appreciate you also gave it a listen! I would be curious to see how it would be different if you ever visit and how much it is similar or different from the thoughts and images that came up. I would guess each listen would bring up a different experience altogether with or without being in the actual setting.

Interesting to read your experience of listening to it without having visited the place! Glad you enjoyed it!
